Hydro cooled / water cooled Asic miners
There are Two type of Hydro cooled asic miner
- The First is an Asic miner that comes originally from factory fitted with water blocks , and all necessary parts to circulate water / coolant through the asic miner to dissipate the heat , a Good example of this type is Antminer S19 Hydro , Whatsminer M53/M33 Hydro miners
- The second type is a regular miner air cooled converted into a water cooled miner and this is usually done by replacing the original heatsinks by water blocks to allow the water to flow through the hashboards and dissipate heat
How efficient Hydro cooling compared to traditional air cooling ?
Fluids in general are a better heat conductors , therefor a hydro cooled asic miner such as S19 Hydro and Whatsminer M53 can run on higher hashrate and produce more computing power without the risk of overheating the chips
the basics of Hydro cooling are very simple , the coolant goes through all the parts that produce heat within the miner (Hashboard , Power Supply) , the coolant travel through piping to a cooling system (Dry cooler / Chiller) where the heat is dissipated then pushing back the same cooled fluid back to mines , having a cooling system in place to monitor and control water inlet temperature and the pressure , results in a more efficient mining and more environment friendly operation , where the generate dheat can be easily reused for other purposes

How does Immersion cooling works
Liquid immersion cooling works by passing the warm liquid over one or more heat exchangers connected to a Dry cooler or a Water Chiller . Air moves through the Dry Cooler , picking up heat from the liquid, cooling as it passes through the radiator.
Why is immersion cooling so efficient?
If compare immersion cooling with direct air cooling. Liquid is a more efficient conductor of heat than air is. And for air cooling to be effective, it needs to be both cooled and then blown directly at the heat source. This consumes a lot of energy, meaning you have to consider
a) cost and b) environmental impact.
On the other hand, one cubic foot of mineral oil – a dielectric liquid used for immersion cooling – cools as effectively as 1200 cubic feet of air, and requires significantly less energy input.
There are no fans involved, so instantly power use drops dramatically, which has a significant impact on ongoing costs.
The advantages of immersion cooling really come into their own when we’re talking about high-power-density applications like Asic Miners.
